I see a lot of stories or videos of how an indie game dev released their game and deemed it to be a failure when it didn't earn as much as they had hoped. Is it a failure? Not in my eyes, to go through the efforts in producing a game and then finally hitting that publish button, is a great thing. Not many who try their hand in development can say that they released something to Steam. My thoughts on this are that even if it only brought in a little bit of money, you still managed to sale a few copies. Then there is the knowledge that you learned the process of making games and that, in my opinion, is priceless.
