Just published my latest First 2 Hours review on Chasm, and I'd love to hear your thoughts on this one. The game really had me torn - absolutely gorgeous pixel art but some frustrating gameplay decisions that left me scratching my head.
Quick hits:
β Stunning pixel art and animations
β Great soundtrack (especially the chiptune option)
β Interesting procedural generation concept
β Clunky combat mechanics
β Questionable difficulty balance
β Sparse save points
β Enemy respawn issues
Gave it 2.5/5 waffles, but I'm curious if I'm being too harsh? Maybe I just need to "git gud"? π
For those who've played it:
How far did you get?
Did the combat mechanics click for you eventually?

Any tips for newer players?
Worth pushing through the early game challenges?
