This is what I was wondering if they still existed  as there is no way to log onto the website via arena.tv, but through their Discord I discovered that they are using a slightly different address at the moment. You can find them at https://gaming.arena.tv now.

The move into more of a non-gaming focus might be something that would be more successful with the platform though. Gaming as a whole within the live-streaming ecosystem is decreasing when compared to other, non-gaming content. Twitch is on a downward swing with watch hours this year compared to the last.

Arena was actually growing until one of the admins "blew up" on the platform streamers in the discord.  That turn a lot of people (including myself) off and it hasn't recovered. This happened just before I heard you mention Beamstream on a stream on day.

The problem with turning it into a chat site is that will be competing against sites which are as old as, if not older than Twitch. I'm actually seeing more people streaming on Owncast at the moment.

I really do want to see them succeed though.

My issue with Arean is that they're over-complicating things with their streaming services. Gaming is being pushed off to a separate URL while the "actual" streaming is on the main URL. Add in the fact that always mentioning investors and pivoting to cater to these new investors is a bit problematic from the point of view of a user/creator of the platform.

I didn't see the blowup but, that's not a good sign as the Discord server is relatively small. Small upstarts like Arean, Shareplay, and Moonbeam have a metric ton of work to start up and survive. Owncast cuts through all that as it's solely dependent on whoever is running their personal server and the general audience that they have.

Seems to be a number of different streaming services popping up (then vanishing,) since the Mixer closure. Some seem to get momentum at first, then vanish, like Glimesh, Livestream and so many others. Both Shareplay and Arena seem to be struggling with not just streamers, but also viewers. The one that has surprised me in a great way is OwnCast, as I am seeing more and more streamers on it.

Welp, that way to get into Arena.TV is now gone. I hope that they are just doing some reorganizing, and will be coming back at some point.

Truthfully, I don't think Arena will be coming back for the independent streamer to use. They've made it known that they're focusing on the corporate experience for live streaming and they're going up against Amazon IVS. That's going to be a hard sell for an upstart company.
