Hello there, my name is Nomad, I am a writer, author, and content creator. I run multiple websites, including blogs, forums and online store. I also work as a website manager for website owners and business. Good to be here
  2. A lot of people want to become a video creator but of gear, skill or experience is stopping them from becoming a video creator. Well, you can start with what you have. For example, · Use your mobile phone to shoot videos. Modern smartphones have excellent video quality. · Edit videos with free tools like Kinemaster or Capcut. · Focus on strong storytelling and a good subject. · Start with medium-length videos (3–7 minutes), which are easier to produce and retain attention better than long ones. As you grow, you can invest in better gear and editing software. Remember, you learn by doing, trial and error is part of the process.
  3. I miss split screen multiplayer the most! I also wish there were more turn based RPGs coming out, thankfully there's still some big ones that have come out this year like Clair Obscur Expedition 33. Also easter eggs are cool, I always loved when games had those hidden. Not sure if that really counts as a game mechanic though. Also to make things more challenging, save points in modern games could really up the challenge! I remember playing Tomb Raider on my PS1 and having to use save crystals. It made the game more immersive IMO, because then you'd start playing a bit more cautiously so you wouldn't have to do a bunch of stuff again if you died.
  4. YouTube is my default streaming service, because it has a huge viewership and better creator options. However, the live streaming features and community interaction of Twitch is also enjoyable too.
  5. Splitting screen and local multiplayer are what I miss. It is difficult to replace the same room experience of playing with friends online. Cheat codes were also cool as they brought discovery and experimentation to the game.
  6. I believe that the hate against BlueSky is mostly from clickbait and misinformation. Being a user myself, I can say that it is a more encouraging and inclusive environment as compared to other social media platforms.
  7. The XenForo is considered a good option, although it has update worries. It is flexible and can be configured in any way. vBulletin experiences the same with plenty of features built-in.
  8. There's another option with Flarum. True in that it might not be as feature rich as lets say, Discourse. It can be run on aa shared hosting plan and in a few hosts, it's found within the app installer. I hear you on not really wanting to spin up another VPS since Discourse can be a resource hungry beast out of the box. I had looked into WolLab awhile ago that is similar to Invision Community but is at a lower cost.
  9. Greetings everyone my name is Ravenfreak, feel free to call me Raven for short if you'd like! I'm a 35 year old guy who enjoys listening to music, programming from time to time, playing video games, and I own a few websites including a Youtube channel. I've been making videos since 2008, but honestly haven't done much with my channel until 2022 when I started unboxing Retro Game Treasure boxes. I also talk about video games and tech, and enjoy making challenge videos in Pokemon games. My username comes from Raven from Teen Titans btw. Nice to meet you all!
  10. Hey there Raven and welcome aboard. The collection of domain names, YouTube channels and websites are just like Pokemon. Gotta collect them all :D
